Styled Shoot at the Fair from JOJO Photography & Film

I am completely and utterly and totally IN LOVE with this session from JOJO Photography & Film.  I myself have been wanting to do a photo session at our little fire department carnival (which just happens to be going on now!) but I've hadn't had any takers. Lucky for us, JOJO did and here is the awesome results. The vintage feel. The muted tones. The back light. The funnel cakes! It's all here.

From JOJO: "I have been wanting desperately to do a photo shoot at the fair. I found the perfect outfit at Janie and Jack. All I had to do was find a little girl to fit into it and shine. I found Little G. She was so much fun to photograph. The feeling of the shoot is nostalgic. I hope they remind adults of the joy that summer and the fair can bring."

update | what's happenin hot stuff?

I've never really done an update.  So I thought I'd share with you all the crazies that have been going on here!

So most of you know our blog was inadvertently erased a few weeks ago and I've been working around the clock trying to restore previous posts with google cache.  Well its coming along slowly and I should at least have all previous challenge posts restored by weeks end.    Yay!

Speaking of guest blogs, Carrie Swails of Photography Awesomesauce and Carrie Swails Photography  deserves a gold rockstar!  She suggested we apply to be part of Two Bright Lights and we were approved!  So exciting!  Oh and Carrie Swails will be guest blogging soon.  Stay tuned for some of her amazing wisdom.  

Challenge news!  The outsourcing of guest judging has been the breath of fresh air most definitely needed.  I love the weekly challenges as a spectator.  As a judge, I was overwhelmed.  We have multiple celebrity judges lined up with some fun and creative themes!   Oh and we will be teaming up with the lovely ladies from Beyond the Wanderlust for a guest judge trade off!  I'm so excited!  

Oh Snap Magazine is my new side project with two other fabulous ladies - more details soon. We have big plans and we can't wait to debut our star studded premier summer issue on June 21st!  There is still time to submit to be published.    How do you see summer?  Send it to submit@ohsnapmag.com!  Our soft deadline is May 10th!

I plan on blogging soon!  The original about me is gone.  So I think I'll get more personal - I'm going to tell you all about the girl behind the blog.  I'm just not sure what I should tell you? You already know about my absolute love for all things photography related!   Do you want to know about my love for Doctor Who?  Number Ten is my hands down favorite, the final scene with Rose made me bawl like a baby.   Or should I tell you about my grand scheme to raise my daughter on various islands in the world?  She's only 6 and has lived on little islands in the Caribbean, Atlantic, and Mediterranean oceans!  I have plenty of other randomness that I could share.  What do you want to know?

And this I saved for last, because I'm so pleased to announce we will be joined by Shannon J. Dodge as a blogger / admin.  Shannon is one of the brilliant minds behind Wardrobe Wednesdays and she will be sharing beautiful wardrobe love with us twice a month starting next Wednesday!  

I'm so happy with how Love Photographs Beautifully has evolved into this wonderful loving supportive photography community and I cannot wait to see what our future brings.
